A great honor for Electra to be part of the spectacular ceremonies of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
For the opening ceremony, a 3 parts rolling stage was built: equipped with turf tires matching FIFA regulations to protect the pitch, the structures were fitted-out with anti-slip staging and an acrylic top to let lighting effects through. Electra also supplied screen supports for LED lighting. At the end of the ceremony, the two external parts of the stage seamlessly separate so that only the central stage remains, which opens to reveal the tournament emblem!
Electra also delivered the Trophy Ceremony stage built in a unique shape for this historical moment. The loop included 3 areas: the main stage, the teams’ podium, and the award’s podium. The steel stage was equipped with tires to be wheeled in and coated in anti-slip matting. The design was a unique shape built in 4 parts of different elevations and curves.
